Luke 3:5-7

‘Every ravine shall be filled up,
And every mountain and hill shall be leveled;
And the crooked [places] shall be made straight,
And the rough roads smooth;
⁶
and ^[a]all mankind shall see the salvation of God.’”^(A)

⁷So he began saying to the crowds who were coming out to be baptized by him, “You brood of ^[b]vipers, who warned you to flee from the wrath [of God that is] to come?
